Migration Data Portal

The Migration Data Portal aims to serve as a unique access point to timely, comprehensive migration statistics and reliable information about migration data globally. The site is designed to help policy makers, national statistics officers, journalists and the general public interested in the field of migration to navigate the increasingly complex landscape of international migration data, currently scattered across different organisations and agencies.The Portal was launched in December 2017 and is managed and developed byIOM’s Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC), with the guidance of its Advisory Board, and was supported in its conception by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). The Portal is supported financially by the Government of Germany, with financial contributions from the Governmentof the United Kingdom for earlier phases.

Displacement Tracking Matrix

The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) gathers and analyzes data to disseminate critical multi layered information on the mobility, vulnerabilities, and needs of displaced and mobile populations that enables decision makers and responders to provide these populations with better context specific assistance.

Alliance 8.7

Alliance 8.7 is an inclusive global partnership committed to achieving target 8.7 of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Target 8.7: Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms. While many countries and organizations are taking active steps to achieve Target 8.7, there is an urgent need for coordinated global action. The Alliance brings together actors at all levels with a focus on scaling up solutions that work, driving innovation, and leveraging and maximizing the impact of resources. The strategic objectives of Alliance 8.7 are: 1. Accelerating action; 2. Conducting research and sharing knowledge; and 3. Driving innovation and leveraging resources.
